How is the bow able to reach 600 fps? What unique features does it have to attain that speed?

The very latest accessorie i am working of now was an idea i had two day's ago and it is already being made to test shoot bullets to high speed hopefully in a day or two as i have managed to work thing's out it will allow you to shoot bolt's and bullets and will be ready to fire these in a minute or two and vise versa back to shooting bolt's.This will give the shooter more options in the field or target range ,it's all good fun,Phil.

Marcus jb,The bow reaches these incredibly high speed's through pricise gearing ratio's and very high energy storage, coupled to precission lightening and balancing of component's and then tuning these component's to get the very best performance possible from each and every one.Lot's and lot's of mathematicle calculation's to work out the energy maximum transfer to the pivoting limb's and allowing for mechanical losses and then compensating for each loss. It would be very difficult if not impossible to store such high energy level's using a coventional bow system,Thank's Marcus jb for the interest, i hope this is of help,Phil.

I shot an empty large propane gas cylinder last night the ones you find on mobile homes, at my friend's yard,he said no way will a crossbow peirce that as a 22 live round wont touch it they are very tough thing's around 3 to 4 mm thick toughened steel. So we set it at 100 yrd's for safety ,just in case there was some gas in there and i shot it with a terminator toughened steel bolt at this range and it stuck straight through one side.My friend Steve and his boy Ricky could not believe this so we shot it several more times and one of the bolts hit on the curved top of the cylinder and still went clean through,it was awesome fun. They were blown clean away by what this awsome crossbow could do,i then fitted the bullet rail and hit it several times denting it severely, one of the rounds ricochetted of in a hail of spark's and took a 4" dia branch clean off a tree 50 yrd's away it was wicked. We then shot a car and it went clean through both sides and stuck into a tree.

Did you use the Mantis, or the Beast for that test?

Which ever one it was ... all I can say is "AWESOME"

It was the mantis ,the beast will do a cylinder as well with 4 or 5 mm dia terminators. The mantis did this with 5mm dia terminator bolt's.The beast is incredibly powerful as well but the mantis is a lot more powerful.I can cock the beast by hand drawing at 225 lbs and it is a big fun bow that would go clean through an elephant with ease at well over 150 yrd's.
